HOW THE LADDER WORKS

Simple rules. Real competition.

01

Join the board

Request to join through the website. An exec approves you and you enter at the bottom of the ladder.

02

Challenge up

You may challenge someone within the number of spots shown in the current ladder settings. Challenges expire if no result is submitted.

03

Play the match

Arrange the game yourselves. Use the club’s announced time control unless both players agree otherwise.

04

Submit + confirm

Either player submits the result. The opponent or an exec confirms it before anything changes.

05

Win and climb

If the lower-ranked player wins, they take the higher player’s spot and everyone in between shifts down one place.

06

Elo moves too

Every confirmed match updates an Elo-style rating alongside the ladder rank.

07

Stay active

Play regularly, answer challenges promptly and communicate if you cannot make a match.

08

Keep it respectful

Good sportsmanship is mandatory. Execs can cancel or resolve disputed challenges when needed.
